Leading a
new way of
about physics

Klee Irwin is an author, physicist and entrepreneur, who dedicates the majority of his time to Quantum Gravity Research (QGR), a research institute he founded in 2009. The mission of the organization is to discover the geometric first-principles unification of space, time, matter, energy, information and consciousness.

As the Director of QGR, Klee manages a dedicated team of mathematicians and physicists developing emergence theory. Since 2009, the team has published numerous papers and journal articles laying out some of the mathematical building blocks and axiomatic ideas for this unification model.

Klee is optimistic and excited about what the future holds and our relationship with the planet. As a result, he directs his creative and financial resources toward actions that help us realize that harmonious future faster. Read all about it here.

Klee's path to being
obsessed with physics

Klee was raised in poverty in Los Angeles by a single mother with disabilities in a three hundred square foot, converted motel room.

“Every year, around New Year’s, my mother would take money from her welfare check and begin making deposits on a layaway program at the local toy store, so that a year later — by Christmas –my sister and I could open about twenty new toys each. My sister and I couldn’t produce the amount of gifts that my mom gave, so we learned to make things like poems, sculptures, collages, and paintings, and we would wrap them up as best we could to give to her. My mom would make such a big deal about each one, which would boost up our confidence and our creative ability. It was because of this poverty that we learned to be really creative.”

Raised in the Cold War era, Klee was faced with two main life paths:  the Scary Path or what he would later call The Fun Path. Filled with a sense of anxiety about his future and being raised on a steady diet of “getting creative to survive,” Klee became focused on solving puzzles and cracking codes in all kinds of work and life situations.

In 1994, he started Irwin Naturals and immediately started doing things “not like the other guys.” He became a health innovator in a very competitive industry.

For 15 years he scaled Irwin Naturals to be one of the most progressive natural products companies in the US hitting a billion dollars in revenue.

Then, after a chance meeting with Peter Diamandis, who at the time was trying to start Singularity University, everything changed for Klee. Singularity University was being set-up as an institute set up not for profit but to tackle worldwide problems like global warming and malnutrition. True to his creative thinking, Klee found himself in a more intentional meeting with NASA Ames Research Center with a small group of inspirational problem solvers including Google co-founder, Larry Page. Listening to these people talking about changing the world reminded Klee of his childhood spent thinking about big issues that would lead him down the Scary Path. He realized that after so many years in business trying to build the wealth his past didn’t include, he felt connected to a global society; and for the first time realized he could truly stay on The Fun Path.

Shortly after that meeting, Klee resigned from his active role at Irwin Naturals and dedicated himself to spending the rest of his life trying to create global impact, with no focus whatsoever on making money.

He became laser-focused on perhaps the most important puzzle of the universe that could lead to extremely high-impact solutions for the entire planet — discovering what the substructure of nature is and a theory of everything.

A unification theory that underlies all of technology and all of reality itself has got to be the biggest cypher or key to solve the ultimate puzzle. So, Klee created Quantum Gravity Research, where he now works with about fifteen to twenty PhD mathematicians and physicists working on this outside-the-box approach to unification physics he calls Emergence Theory.

This competing theory to string theory uses very fresh mathematic ideas  that Klee says, “hopefully it’s crazy enough to crack the code and steer us onto the Fun Path  as a global society — permanently.”

It is no wonder that Klee’s various life paths have led him to
be one of the loudest voices in CBD in the world. Given the poverty he was raised in, anxiety was no stranger to Klee. Decades later he recognizes a larger problem with anxiety for a significant portion of Americans.

He believes stress creates a breeding ground for disease in our bodies connected to our individual and collective psychologies, andwhen it becomes too significant, we slip into an anxious state, not only as individuals but as a nation. The high rate of anxiety changes the way we treat one another and the policies we adopt, and even could be said to ramp up our conflict with each other and with other nations around the world. His research into cannabidiol (CBD) and how it can help address mental health issues that are caused by misfiring impulses in the brain related to the nervous system, especially those caused by stress, and can shift our bodies and minds away from anxiety.

Klee believes that CBD offers a new pathway to wellness that can ease the potential for anxiety, and therefore ease the complications from other mental health conditions.

“I believe that change will come, and that we can decrease our anxiety by taking preventative care seriously. CBD is only one route, but it is one that I believe is worth exploration.”

It is for this reason that Klee has spear-headed many projects related to getting the public the information they need to access CBD in the best way, including authoring a book, producing a documentary, funding developmental research, and acting as a public advocate on TV and radio.

Klee is also the founder and owner of Irwin Naturals, an award-winning global natural supplement company providing alternative health and healing products sold in thousands of retailers ranging from Walmart to Whole Foods. Irwin Naturals is a long-time supporter of Vitamin Angels, which aims to provide lifesaving vitamins to mothers and children at risk of malnutrition thereby reducing preventable illness, blindness, and death and creating healthier communities.

Irwin Naturals focuses on providing the highest quality products to the public that the lowest retail prices
without sacrificing efficacy.

the Positive
& Forward

Outside of his work in physics and nutraceuticals, Klee is active in supporting students, scientists, educators and founders in their aim to discover solutions leading to high impact positive change in the world.

He has helped and invested in a wide range of people, causes and companies including Change.org, Upworthy, Donors Choose, Moon Express, Mayasil, the X PRIZE Foundation, and Singularity University, where he is an Associate Founder.
